The Carter County Democratic Party is excited to announce the official ribbon cutting for its 2012 election campaign office. The ribbon cutting is scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday September 8th. Located at 441 East Elk Avenue in Elizabethton, this year’s theme is simply “Middle Class Headquarters”.
If you saw Bill Clinton’s memorable and historic speech last night at the Democratic National Convention, you now know why all of us are to be proud to be Democrats. We are energized, we are ready to take the fight to the streets by getting voters registered and to the polls, and we are not willing to return to the failed policies of the past. Join us and get involved in this important undertaking; for your sake and your children and grandchildren’s sake.
Official hours for the ribbon cutting are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. but the office will stay open the rest of the day as we kick off the official start of the local campaign. Refreshments will be served and music will be graciously provided by the Matthews/Boyd duo. All Democrats, Independents and dissaffected Republicans who see the need to preserve the middle class are invited to join us.

Carter County Dems And Democratic Women to Hold Annual Picnic

Friday, July 15th, 2011

The Carter County Democratic Women announce their Saturday, July 23, picnic plans, held in conjunction with the Carter County Democratic Party. This picnic will be held at the Elizabethton covered picnic shelter on Edwards Island across from Tetrick Funeral Home on Riverside Drive. The Pledge of Allegiance and prayer will begin the activities at 11:00 a.m. followed by the meal, speaker and other activities. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish. Breads, colas, teas and waters are also requested. Mike Clark from the publication, THE LOAFER, will be our guest speaker. All Carter County Democrats are invited.
This is a great opportunity to bring a guest and introduce them to other Democrats in the area in an environment of fellowship and easy conversation. Mark your calendars and plan to be there.
